coverage: Tidy up creation of covmap and covfun records This is a small follow-up to #134163 that mostly just inlines and renames some variables, and adds a few comments. The codegen crate contains the code to convert from MIR into LLVM IR,
and then from LLVM IR into machine code. In general it contains code
that runs towards the end of the compilation process.
