Some "parenthesis" and "parentheses" fixes

"Parenthesis" is the singular (e.g. one `(` or one `)`) and "parentheses" is the plural (multiple `(` or `)`s) and this is not hard to mix up so here are some fixes for that.

Inspired by #89958
